Barbara Todaro hi Barbara... thanks. Charlotte has always been known for its housing affordability and compared with other cities, our rents are still relatively affordable... but when I was that we were in the top 10 states of how quickly rents were rising, I was gob-smacked. People's incomes are not keeping pace with those increases in rent, I'm sure.
This is excellent advice to share.
Have a most productive April.

Roy Kelley thanks, Roy... and wishing you a lovely April, as well.

Good morning Nina Hollander, rent prices went through the roof in my area, a two bedroom apartment(in a complex) is $1400.00. Owning a home rather than renting makes more sense to me.

Being able to work with Nina Hollander is all the reason that one would need, but you list some other great reasons too!

Beth Atalay hi Beth... people are really feeling the sticker shock here on rentals. Do you have much of a seasonal rental market? If you do, I'm sure that drives up rents, as well.
Brian England hi Brian... it took me a minute to digest your comment... and then I got it! Thank you! As always you are way too kind! But I love it and you!

I can’t believe the price I’m getting for my rentals right now; it’s up 25% over the past two years Nina Hollander

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS that's an amazing increase for two years, Paul! Lots of sticker shock here in Charlotte, I can tell you.
Nina,
You make excellent points of renting versus buying. And whoever decides to buy should definitely contact you. Wishing you a great Tuesday!

Hi Nina Hollander - I hope renters or those thinking of renting see your posts. I feel so strongly about owning versus renting and you are the expert to show your clients the advantages. When real estate areas are active and appreciating such as the Charlotte area, it is an option that must be considered.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... with interest rates so low it makes no sense for people to keep renting with rents increasing so quickly.
Sheri Sperry - MCNE® hi Sheri... I feel just as strongly that people of all generations should not waste their money on rent but invest in their own homes and their own financial futures.
Good Wednesday morning, Nina.
We have a beautiful sunny day in Maryland and life is good. We just returned from a long weekend visit to Williamsburg, VA.
