Hi guys

It's all about the settings. Once you understand a camera, beyond the auto settings and start to explore some of the available options it is impressive what a fairly inexpesive camera can do. I garauntee that if you spend some time and really get to know your digital camera and not just rely on the built in choices you will have a far better time as you snap away. That, and simplifying the subject matter helps.

These I took this past week. We had friends here from England, our best friends who I miss within hours of them leaving, sob, and we decided to walk to the beach and have foo foo drinks. I still do not know what foo foo drinks are, I just know that I regretted leaving the car and having to walk home in the dark. The sky was amazing as the sun went down and I got hold of Maria's camera, adjusted a few things and shot away.

I am no David Bailey but these were just what I was looking for:

There is evidence of digital noise but who cares?

Get the manual out that came with your camera and find out what it is capable of. Either that or move to Anna Maria, fl..! LOL

Beautiful pictures Chris!  I purchased a new camera about 8 months ago and have never really read the manual...I just use the basics but this shows me I should start reading up!
