This weekend at the Eastridge Rec Center we have the return of the 9Health Family Fair from 7:00am to 12:00pm. This will happen on Saturday April 6th and will be put on by the Highlands Ranch Lions Club. They have been a proud and repeat sponsor and will coordinate the 9Health Family Fair for years to come. They employ the use of certified health professionals who volunteer their skills and time perform low cost and free screenings. These screamers do not diagnose but will let the participant know at the time of the screening if they need to see their doctor for further evaluation. Participants with serious health issues found through their blood work will be notified by volunteer nurses and doctors after the blood work has been tested. Family Fair screenings will be provided for children also, blood pressure height/weight and vision. Be sure to be aware that there will be no Family Fair blood screenings for participants under the age 18. Please do not bring the children for these screenings. The Wellness Zone is great to prodded opportunities for participants to learn more about nutrition, illness prevention, fitness, safety etc. You can always sign up online at www.9healthfair.org as well as see a list of the extensive low-cost blood screenings available to all.
