About Hillary Clinton and a Royal Flush in East Sacramento

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

Because I've changed companies, I've been busy bopping around the internet changing my profiles on various websites to accurately reflect my new brokerage and affiliation. Which means I go to places that can suck you in. Like Facebook and Twitter.

I don't ordinarily frequent those websites because I consider them to be HUGE TIME SUCKS. You can spend all day there and get nothing done. And quite frankly, I have better things to do than hang out on Facebook and Twitter. Like, hey, even visiting Active Rain takes a certain amount of time, but at least I don't feel like I'm SUCKED into it.

One of the things I noticed on Twitter is Hillary Clinton changed her profile photo. Take a look at it:

What this tells me is she no longer feels like it's OK for people to look at her or for her to even look at them, for that matter. It's like she's saying, "get out of my face. Stop looking at me. I no longer have to look at you schmucks, you people who failed to vote for me, so screw you guys, screw all of your people. If I have my way, why, I'll never stare at your ugly mugs again. You don't deserve to look at mine."

And although I am using a bit of humor here, I can actually relate to it. LOL.

And today, you can read my partner's story about offers on a multiple listing in East Sac at this link: Hitting the Royal Flush on an East Sacramento Listing.

Hello Elizabeth- - -your move to a new company is helping you hone your humor and social media skills/strategies which were already fine tuned previously.  Now onto where you continue to shine representing your clients. Good luck.

Nina Hollander You just know she agonized over her post-campaign profile photos. If we were in her shoes, we'd probably want something that says, hey, I lost, but I am still a fabulous person, you schmuck.

Good morning Elizabeth. You may not have time for Facebook but certainly made time to speculate on something as simple as a picture. Hillary is far from perfect but I admire her greatly and like the photo.

I like your take on Hillary's photo, Elizabeth!  And, I know how it is to get sucked in with Facebook and other social media platforms!

Nice post. Yes, power does create an aura of arrogance OR she doesn't like how she's aging. I can relate to getting trapped on other plaforms & wasting time.
Yet, I'll be doing more Pinterest (go figure).  Humor in blog posts is definitely a good thing, whether it's your words or images. I tried doing a little bit in my most recent post.

Myrl Jeffcoat The other thing I wonder about that photo is whether they flipped it horizontally? Because it looks like she is looking to the PAST rather than the FUTURE!

Grant Schneider I am very aware of how pictures influence people. Probably more so than your average bear. Just weird that way.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD Women and their photos, what can I say? I mentioned to my partner how I did not like the way the photo of me in a yellow jacket made my arms look enormous, and she said her photo in a red jacket did the same thing to her. LOL.
