EGGStravaganza Spring Festival in Carlsbad CA

If you are looking for fun things to do for the Easter Holiday – just 2 weeks away from this Sunday – consider the popular Carlsbad EGGStravaganza Spring Festival.
EGGStravaganza is the day BEFORE Easter, on Saturday April 20th, in Poinsettia Park, one of Carlsbad’s nicest parks located at 6600 Hidden Valley Road, from 10 am until 1pm.
You can be sure there will be lots of fun for the younger generation, with cookie decorating, face painting, “Soak the Bunny,” a variety of crafts, and a fun zone.
Of course the main event is the Easter Egg Hunt. Kids can enjoy Carlsbad’s largest Egg Scramble (Activity Cards are required) running from 10:30 until 12:30. There will be 2 competitive fields; ages 6 and older, and age 5 and under. Groups of 20 – 30 children at a time will get to hunt for candy-filled eggs until they are gone, then the fields will be readied for the next group of kids.
EGGStravaganza also offers a non-competitive field for younger children, those with special needs, and for families who wish to take special photos.
You MUST purchase Unlimited Fun Zone Wristbands ($5) and Activity Cards ($5) in person during normal business hours in advance. There are NO online or phone registrations, and no refunds or replacements if lost or you leave them at home.
Carlsbadians can purchase wristband and activity cards during normal business hours at the following locations until April 19th:

Alga Norte Aquatics Center, 6565 Alicante Road
You will also be able to purchase Wristbands and Activity Cards at the event. There will be food and beverages available for purchase, too.
