What a treat I came across today, while shopping for my favorite geraniums at the Berridge Nurseries in Phoenix.
The Orchid Show was such a display of beauty, color, elegance, joy.
It seems there was some kind of competition as some of the orchids had a tag "First Place", "Second Place" ...
All were so beautiful!

HI Ron and Alexandra Seigel , you are right, it seems we can always find beautiful orchids for sale, no matter what season anywhere in AZ, too.
Debe Maxwell, CRS , it seems that the orchid trees are growing quite well in AZ. I have not even noticed them until recently. Here is a photo of one on a neighboring street.

Endre Barath, Jr. , I haven't been lucky to keep one for more than a month or two, for some reason. The ladies from the Orchid society invited me to visit their meetings and find out why this happens. Ah, well.
Steffy Hristova - There is something about orchids that takes my breath away. Your photos are gorgeous! To see them growing on live trees and not just behind a glass refrigeration unit at a Florist shop is quite an amazing sight!

Hi Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP , I just recently realized how many orchid trees there are around me. They stand out as most of the blooming trees in the desert are yellow. One more orchid tree in bloom below in a subdivision where I work and walk a lot.
Hi Kat Palmiotti , yes, it was hard to pick one, I noticed that there were many with a "First Prize Award" ...nominated by different groups, probably. I just enjoyed them and didn't look at the awards too close. There were many more, you are right.
