It's Time for Flowers!!

It has been a long grueling winter for many of us in the upper midwest. Record snows. Massive rain fall. And should I even bring up the incredibly cold temperatures!! I hope to never see another Artic Vortex!

But.....now we can take a deep breath and get outside. With that comes flowers for your house. Oh how I love planting all kinds of color in my patio pots and watching them grow.

Besides color I really love the whispy feathery plants. They add so much softness and kind of stick randomly through the other flowers.

I have tall narrow urns by my front door and every spring I love trying a different greenery that drapes down the side of the pot.

I have even gotten to enjoy the pots I have in the shade that are filled with a variety of greenery and no flowers.

In Minnesota, they tell you that you are safe to plant flowers after Mother's Day as far as any frost, but beat the rush and head out and purchase them today!

We always tell our Minnesota friends that we hope Summer comes on a weekend this year so they can enjoy it! Having had snow this past Saturday...we aren't quite ready to "bloom" the yard !

Good morning Shar. Your flowers are lovely. I rushed and lost a lot last night with a heavy frost. :(

Ugh! The worst! I actually don't have mine in yet, latest ever for me. But I always take pictures of my pots to remember what I planted the next year. :)

Hi Shar,
I think those long brutal winters make us appreciate Spring even more.  Love all your pots. And, also love your staging video!

Thank you Carol. We do appreciate Spring more but I would like to try it without a brutal winter and see if I appreciate it just as much. :)

Hello Shar - although I am fortunate to live in a better climate with flowers blooming and lawns welcoming year-round, I understand that the arrival of better times beckon a certain happiness.

Shar Sitter - The people in Minnesota have been on my mind. You really did have a rough winter and you truly deserve these flowers and warmer weather.

Your photos are very beautiful. It must make you feel tremendous gratitude. I hope the remainder of spring, summer, and fall is just as nice.

Thank you Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP . It was such a brutle winter and Spring has been taking it's time getting here. A huge blizzard the middle of April!! It is still way below average temps.
