UPDATE: SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch Wednesday April 10, 2019 was scrubbed
UPDATE: SpaceX has SCRUBBED tonight's launch of the Falcon Heavy due to winds. The next attempt could be tomorrow.
SpaceX will launch the Falcon Heavy rocket today, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 after delaying it for one day due to weather conditions yesterday. This will be the second launch of the Falcon Heavy.
The rocket will launch from Kennedy Space Center launch pad 39A.
Liftoff is scheduled for 6:36pm but the launch window runs until 8:32pm.
About eight minutes after liftoff, two of the three boosters will land at Cape Canaveral and the third will attempt a landing on the drone ship “Of course I still love you” in the Atlantic Ocean.
Be prepared to hear the sonic booms from the boosters landing at Cape Canaveral.
At this time, there is expected to be an 80% chance of good weather at launch time.
If the launch is scrubbed due to weather or technical issues, the launch will move to Thursday when an 90% chance of good weather is expected.
Plan to arrive early to miss the traffic and the crowds so you can find a great viewing spot. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the launch!
