SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch moved to Thursday 4-11-19
The Falcon Heavy launch was been pushed back one day due to upper level winds that could have blown the rocket off course.
The window opened at 6:35pm, Eastern Time on Wednesday evening but SpaceX pushed the launch back twice due to upper level winds. Around 7:30 p.m., SpaceX announced it was standing down and scrubbed the launch.
SpaceX will make a second attempt to launch the rocket on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
The rocket is set to lift off at 6:35pm from Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
The window is almost two hours long and there is a 90% chance of good weather at launch time.
Approximately eight minutes after launch two of the boosters will land at Landing Zones 1 and 2 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, not far from where the rocket was launched.
The third booster will land on the drone ship, Of Course I Still Love You, in the Atlantic Ocean.
SpaceX has warned that sonic booms will be heard as the boosters land at CCAFS so be prepared!
