On tonight's dinner menu, we have local sashimi grade Ahi Tuna. We sautée it in butter with a crust of black sesame seed. It is perfect with a side of fresh organic spinach!
We love driving down to the harbor, and on occasion we actually see the fish come off the boat to the back door of the building. We took a picture of part of the case of the freshest fish available today.
The first four pictured from left to right (Scottish Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Ocean Trout, and Hamachi yellow tail) are all sashimi grade, and they will happily create a sashimi plate for two or more.
They also have fresh sea urchin (Umi) which they will open for you. In addition they are oysters (they will shuck to order), calamari, lobster, clams, mussels, octopus, and other seasonal goodies.
Around noon, locals and tourists line us for a sashimi platter or fresh Umi. We avoid being there at that time, because we would have to wait in line.
Happy Friday to all, and we wish you a wonderful weekend!
