I speak to a lot of Real Estate folks everyday and sometimes the comments are disturbing.

Comments and questions like, “did you see a slowdown due to March Madness?, “is the market slowing down in your area?”, and other similar comments hinting at a fear of a slowdown.

We hear these comments and questions from outside Keller Williams, but never from within.

Perhaps it is some of that stuff that others call Kool Aide, and we refer to as Culture, or Mindset.

We know the Shift is coming, nothing to fear, just something to embrace and look at as an opportunity.

Every month we get a report from our market center and from Austin called LORE, or The Language of Real Estate.

This report shows all the stats related to the markets, and more importantly, how we are doing.

Each month we see less listings and thus less sales in our MLS, yet for the KW agents in our MLS we see increasing listings and increasing sales.

Thus, the opportunity, the opportunity to grab market share in a shift.

Things happen in a down market, some fail, others see massive growth, it all comes down to Mindset.

Do you accept the failure, accept that less people are listing, or less people are buying, or prices are dropping, etc.

Or do you recognize the challenge, figure out how to work past it?  Gain skills, find solutions, and dominate your market while others are sitting on the couch looking at the obstacles?

We are not into a Shift yet, but we do have experts monitoring this for us, and we have coaches, trainers, and others preparing us for how to prosper in any market. 

And we are ready for anything!

Every day at Keller Williams we have our lead gen, our scripts practice, planning, coaching, and other things designed to boost our skills, and our mindset.

We are prepared to face any challenge, find the clients, find the deals, adapt, prosper, and grab market share.

These are not times for fear, they are times to grow internally and externally, and prosper.

"We hear these comments and questions from outside Keller Williams, but never from within." This depends on your market center. I heard this question all the time during the 11 years I was at KW.

 

"Each month we see less listings and thus less sales in our MLS, yet for the KW agents in our MLS we see increasing listings and increasing sales." This also depends on geography. Here in Dallas, United Real Estate is running rings around all the other brokerages.
