Sellers - when is a good time to stay home during a showing?

When is a good time to stay home during a showing?

The answer is....(insert drumroll here)

NEVER!!!

Have you ever taken a sales person inside the dressing room while you are trying on clothes? Yeeah, me neither - that would be awkward. It's just as awkward for a potential buyer to have you there watching every move they make through your house.

I promise you that you cannot "sell" the buyer your house. They got there by looking at the pictures. They can't picture themselves in your house with you there. Following them around your house like "pick me, pick me" will notwork.

Let the selling agent who brought them to the listing do what they are trained to do - Sell Your House!

That's pretty much an easy answer, Teresa... it's pretty much never a good time to be home when one's home is being shown! Exceptions should be important and rare.

You are right about exceptions - they are rare. Thanks for stopping by.
