1st Quarter 2019 Market Trends Report for the Greater Los Angeles area is published: Let's look at the Median Sales Price for Single Family Homes
Many times, I have been asked: So how is the Market. My answer was filled with questions instead of answers. Are you asking about Single-Family Homes? What area are you interested in hearing the answers to? The list goes on and on. Today the Multiple Listing Service published a great report and called it the “Heat Map”. This clearly illustrates my point. The greater Los Angeles area is very diverse and there are over 50 different general areas and pockets can vary from area to area. So with that said let’s see what the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) had to say:
While the overall median sales price for single family homes in the MLS™/CLAW Areas (Pacific Coast Highway to Downtown Los Angeles) remained the same in Q1-2019 versus Q1-2018, our market climate map shows that we had 22 areas of growth, 23 areas of decline and 4 areas of no change. Here are the top 5 performing areas from Q1-2019:

- Mount Washington (MSP +$329K, 37% Increase)
- Malibu (MSP +$865K, 34% Increase)
- Ladera Heights (MSP +$405k, 33% Increase)
- Cheviot Hills-Rancho Park (MSP +$660K, 33% Increase)
- Beverly Hills Post Office (MSP +$760K, 32% Increase)
- East Los Angeles (MSP +$132K, 32% Increase)

- Beverly Hills $6,885,000
- Malibu Beach $5,800,000
- Beverly Hills Post Office $3,380,910
- Malibu $3,340,000
- Pacific Palisades $3,080,000
