Inspirational Thoughts for the Day

Patricia Feager, 4/18/19

"Life is like a landscape. You live in the midst of it

but can describe it only from the vantage point of distance."

--- Charles Lindberg

When it comes to real estate, from the buyer's vantage point it is all about the value and the location. To the seller, the sale of a home is an emotional time and a major life event. Seeing a for sale sign in the front lawn can bring about many emotions. There is something about the sign that makes it all more real. Providing supportive services to my clients is something I strive to do with empathy.

People move for many reasons, such as:

  • Getting married
  • Losing a spouse
  • Relocating
  • Homeownership instead of rent
  • Downsizing
  • Needing more room
  • Needs change
  • Empty Nesters
  • Job situations
  • Divorce
  • To be closer to family
  • Retirement
  • Economic reasons

Just as the leaves of a tree must fall when the seasons change or bloom because it is spring, people find themselves in situations when they must leave and find a new place to live. The impact of the move may cause stress and anxiety. There could be setbacks and things that happen outside of your control. But there is also joy in accomplishing what you need to do. When you have an optimistic outlook on life and you work with a Real Estate Agent you trust, the sky may look bluer, the grass greener, trees fuller or bigger, and despite all the changes, life can be really, really good. Always look to the good.

If you are looking to buy or sell in Denton, North Dallas, Tarrant, or Collin County I would be honored to help you buy and/or sell.

Patricia

You are right - there are many reasons to move, and it can be a stressful time for sellers. Finding an excellent real estate agent who will help the entire process move as smoothly as possible should be the number one goal of a seller!

Your list pretty much covers the main reasons for selling a home, Patricia!  In fact, I can't really add to your list!

Hi Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - Another gorgeous shot and I love the quote from Charles Lindberg.  I looked at the reasons and can say that I could fit into every category except losing a spouse or divorce.

Patricia the thought of moving someday is enough to stress me out, I can't imagine what it will be like when that day final comes.

Statistics indicate that people move up to seven times in their lifetime. The emotion of moving usually occurs when the length of time exceeds 20 years or more at the  same location. However, the excitement of moving to a new location usually eliminates the emotional stress, so, life goes on, doesn't it?

Patricia, It is so important to have an agent you trust to navigate the real estate landscape easily.  An interesting statement from a man who often saw the landscape from above.

That’s exactly where the expression of 2020 hindsight comes from when we see things with a little bit of distance from it and can emotionally grapple with what we need to make ourselves better people.
