Get ready for the 2019 Ivy Terrace Concert Series performance schedule for this summer.
Ivy Terrace concerts are a community favorite and a big reason why Lewisburg, West Virginia, is considered one of the “coolest small towns in America.” The groups perform outside on Carnegie Hall’s Ivy Terrace as attendees watch from the expansive lawn in front of New River Community and Technical College.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and pack a picnic to enjoy the live, outdoor concerts. All Ivy Terrace concerts are free and open to the public.
The 2019 Ivy Terrace Concert Series line-up features an eclectic mix of music performed by groups from around southern West Virginia and as far away as Texas. The Series begins Thursday, June 13 and continues on second and fourth Thursdays throughout the summer, ending on August 22. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
Kicking off the 2019 Ivy Terrace is old-time acoustic “neo-traditional” group Long Point String Band on Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m.
The remaining schedule is as follows:
- June 27 - Shayar (reggae);
- July 11 - Hardened and Tempered (folk/country from Austin, Texas);
- July 25 - Thomas Taylor (country); August 8 – Krista Hughes Band (country/rock); and
- August 22 - B-BAMS (a little bit of everything).
611 Church Street, Lewisburg, WV.
So mark your calendars and get excited about this summer in Lewisburg. The 2019 Carnegie Hall Ivy Terrace Concert Series is a “must do” for visitors and locals alike. The entertainment moves indoors in the event of inclement weather.
