Ed McMahon May Lose Beverly Hills Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Resolution Realty

You work hard all your life on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. All those great years on TV.

Then this happens: Ed McMahon May Lose Beverly Hills Home

Mr. McMahon, an icon on American television for decades, is one of the most recent victims caught up in the mortgage crises.

Is there hollywood group that can help him? Ed McMahon broke his neck in a fall about 18 months ago and hasn't been able to work...Agents spread the word. Maybe a solution can be found. If Johnny Carson were alive he would help!

I read the story.  To bad PCH doesn't doesn't show up at his front door.  It was incredible to see how much he owes.

It should be a wake up call for everyone... not just those in the entertainment business.  It can happen to anyone.  Everything can be gone in a heartbeat!  He must not have had a good financial planner.  Who really knows?

I strongly believe in being prepared.

Heeeeeere's Bushie....  That's pretty funny.. in what is an unfortunate and very sad situation.

I agree. I find it very hard to believe that someone like Ed McMahon is going to lose his house. This is not good at all.

I've read that Johny Carson was as mean as could be and wasn't really all that caring.

Why do you imagine he would help Ed McMahon?

"Remind me not to get foreclosed on and ask for help on active rain,,,,brrrrrr cold feeling."

Or at least, don't squander the hundreds of thousands of dollars you earned in your lifetime and then bring your sob story to people who worked hard to live within their means and scrape by through frugal living and self-denial of things that were not essential.

We didn't have Cable TV for years because we could not afford it.  We did not get high speed internet until we could afford it.  I drive cars I can afford to buy, my kids and I have worn clothes that were given to them or purchased at Salvation Army (or off clearance racks).   We worked hard, we paid off our mortgage, we can now afford more "frilly" things - sorry, no, I don't have an iota of pity for a Hollywood Celebrity who earned more in six months than I've probably earned in my lifetime - no.

Am I bitter? I guess it sounds that way, but, really, it all boils down to something my mamma always said "A fool and his money are soon parted."

I feel sorry for the families who can't make enough money to purchase a home, who can't make enough money to buy fuel for their home, who have to go to the food pantry to feed their kids, even though they work hard and still can't get by.  Those are the people who need our pity and compassion, not the ones who were given much and squandered it all away through foolishness.

They just interviewed Donald Trump on television about the Ed McMahon foreclosure thing.  The Donald commented "we can't let this happen to Ed McMahon".

That's nice.  Of course, Trump doesn't particularly if it happens to the little people.  The Ed McMahons of this world get sympathy and help.  The little folks get a lecture about how they borrowed too much and squandered their money.

I have sympathy for everyone, including Ed McMahon.  But there are a lot more folks in trouble out there than just Johnny's sidekick.

Donald Trump is just a big loud egotistical show-off - unlike Sir Richard Branson, who has made more money, made significant contributions to society, and is a true philanthropist.
