Letting off steam from life.

Life can be a downer sometimes.  Things can get REALLY stressful and I think it's important to know how to let off some steam and enjoy life.  Here are some of my favorite ways to let go of the stressors of life and enjoy it more!

1.  Go to an amusement park.

There is nothing more "letting go" than screaming your guts out on a roller coaster.  If roller coasters aren't your thing, you could go visit someplace like Universal Studios Hollywood where the rides are more tame, but the experience is still fun!

2.  Go out with friends.

Taking time with friends can be really enjoyable.  You might think it always takes money, but there are a lot of things you could do with friends that take zero cash:

  • Go walking
  • Go to the park
  • Go to the gym (if you both already have a membership)

3.  Of course, another thing is to break a sweat (many of those are the free things to do with friends from above).  By doing an activity that gets your heart rate up and your sweat flowing, it helps your endorphins take over the matter.  Of course, you could have a gym membership, but there are plenty of other ways.

Play tennis or basketball at a local park, or work out to a Youtube video.

This has the added benefit of being good FOR you, so that's awesome too!

4.  Stop doing something that is bothering you.

A lot us have extra stress by doing something that is bugging ourselves.  Many people want to find restless leg relief -- and it is possible, in some cases.

By finding relief for something ELSE entirely, you might lessen your stress overall.

5.  Talk about it.

There is nothing wrong with finding a listening ear and talking to a friend about your issues.  You don't need to find a therapist or pay for someone who may even add extra stress.  Just find a good friend and talk about what's going on

Just make sure you return the favor someday and be a listening ear for them.

Tell them you don't think it's likely they will find an ANSWER to your problem, but just them being there for you will work wonders for you.

Sometimes people worry you are expecting them to find answers, when really you just want someone to say "yeah, that is hard" -- so, let them know that in advance.

Hopefully, one of those five things will help you make a dent in your personal stressors.  I know they have helped me over time as well.

Amusement parks are a good stress reliever for me. Or maybe the kid in me just wants to have a go at the rides.
