Springtime brings Life!

It's a Rainy Thursday afternoon!  Spring is here and the rain is making all the grass and flowers grow.  It's quiet and I am watching the black squirrels chase one another up and down the tall pine trees.  Some of the limbs are so small, the weight of the squirrel makes them bend in half.  With a quick bounce and a jump, the little squirrel makes it to another tree.  One squirrel chasing the other for hours on end.  They are having lots of fun and so am I, watching from the window.hyacinths

The rain stops for a while and returns with a light shower.  This is the kind of rain that really helps.  It can soak into the ground and not make everything terribly muddy.

My hyacinths are blooming and daffodils are starting.  All kinds of greenery is coming alive.  Every day you can see the difference.  Soon the flowerbeds will be full with blooms of every color.  I cannot wait to see their beauty and smell their fragrances.

daffodils Springtime brings the flowers life and somehow it makes me feel more alive too.  Newness, freshness, growth, life!

Isn't Spring your favorite time of year?

Good morning Ricki. What a lovely story you shared. I like spring for the same reasons but usually in the Berkshires we have little of it.

Hi Kat Palmiotti,  Spring is a great time of year.  The animals and the birds surely love it! I love watching them at the feeders.

Hi Sheila Anderson,  Ours doesn't last long either.   Summer and Autumn are also short.  Only winter is long, six months usually :)  So Spring is so welcomed here! :)

Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand. We love to visit Longwood Gardens at this time of the year.

Ricki Eichler McCallum - Your photographs are beautiful! There is nothing prettier after the rain than flowers as lovely and you illustrate. Watching squirrels and wildlife play in or after the rain and enjoying their day is always a motivation to take action! Do something! Don't be lazy! Get out and enjoy the day!

I hope all is well for you on a continuous basis!!! You are just like spring - always joyful.
