Trulia TV : Okay, this is Rudy Bachraty from Trulia interviews BrokerIPTV founder Mark Eibner at BloodhoundBlog Unchained , we are on Trulia TV, I mean IPTV. [laughs] God.
Male Speaker: Trulia TV again.
Male Speaker1: Taking over.
Trulia TV : So, how long have you been doing these video
interviews?
Mark Eibner: Well BrokerIPTV started back in October. We did our first big event at Colorado
Association of Realtors Convention and we have been doing interviews and
informational...
Trulia TV : Where do you see videos going as far as real
estate is concerned because there is a lot of different applications there for
agents to use the video? What is your
take on that?
Mark Eibner Well, I think right now still paramount in the
industry is probably still photos. I
think there is a lot of... if you look at the 360 tours, I think there is a lot
of poorly produced video out there and I tell agency you are better off having good
photography and good home tours for the clients because that is mostly what they
want to see right away and they don't want to wait for broker homemade movies
to load up on their list. So, my advice
would be, if you are going to do video on your listings, get it professionally
done.
Trulia TV : And do you guys offer those services?
Mark Eibner :We don't personally, no, that is... there are plenty
of companies that are doing that. We stick
in our [inaudible]
with the channels that we produce.
Trulia TV : Okay. So,
what is special about IPTV? What is your
elevator pitch like? If you meet someone,
what is it about?
Mark Eibner :BrokerIPTV or any of the IPTV protocols for
us anyway is all about making people be relevant in the search space. Really IPTV and video and where we re-aggregate
our video in our blogs is all about making people to open that little search box
whether it is Google, AOL or Yahoo, because we are a firm believer if you are
not there, you are irrelevant. We really
think video is the most relevant thing you can have about yourself and about
your company, especially if it is pitched for the third party company.
Trulia TV : That is interesting. The videos are they index able by Google? Can people find them easily or do they have to
actually be on the platform where the video is to do a search?
Mark Eibner :Our videos are all search-able because we transcribe
every one of them, every word we are speaking right now will be submitted as
text. It will be back linked, key worded,
everything and as we speak, probably within the next year or two, we know that Google
is already building spiders and robots, they will actually got out and index
the video.
Trulia TV : Do you suggest that agents that shoot their own
videos that they create a transcript themselves for each of the videos that they
are doing, to kind of add to their SEO for those videos or is that overkill for
most agencies?
Mark Eibner :No. I
think if they are not doing it, then the video is a waste.
Trulia TV : Is there a solution where you can take your
video and they could extract all the text or do you have to watch it and write
it down word for word. How does that
work?
Mark Eibner :You don't want to write it down word for
word.
Trulia TV : Okay.
Mark Eibner :Yeah.
So, you want to... we use a company called E24 Tech, there is probably a
dozen different companies, most of them are probably located in India. We highly recommend using humans versus box.
Trulia TV : Humans are good. I highly suggest you use humans.
Mark Eibner :Use humans. Don't use box as far as your
transcription. So, I personally think
any video that is just sitting on someone's site is a total waste of time. It is like how are they going to find the
video on site. It is just like how will
they find your website. You are not in
search... if you are not in search, if you don't have the long and short [inaudible],
then you are nothing. To the world out
there, you are nothing. That is like not
being in the yellow pages 20 years ago, right?
You are not very competent and you are not real Phonetic]
if you cannot be found through Google.
Trulia TV : So, where are you going to be next? What event?
Major event?
Mark Eibner :Oh, our next major event, we have got... we
will be at NAR, we will be at CAR. We have
got some other verticals we are working on, dental verticals.
Trulia TV : Wow man.
Mark Eibner :This is just....
Trulia TV : Are we going to see dental bloggers? Is that what you are saying? Is that what is next? That vertical?
Mark Eibner :I think you will be shocked to look at the
success of eBags right through eBags super bloggers that are producing the bags
forum[Phonetic],
look at the success of that company through a total virtual store [inaudible].
Trulia TV : I am looking for a dentist. I am going to, try to find a dental blogger in
my area and hopefully, they will have some video from IPTV.
Mark Eibner :Go Dental.TV, look for it soon.
Trulia TV : Okay, I will and I hope we got some good
shots in there with them in action to help me decide.
Mark Eibner :You bet, specifically [inaudible] nurses and dental text,
I think that is the real key.
Trulia TV : The key for me is that it is painless, so... as
long as it is painless, I will do that. Anyway,
thanks so much.
Mark Eibner :[inaudible].
It has been a pleasure man.
Trulia TV : Same here.
