“We see you everywhere.” That’s what our last Free Market Analysis caller said when asked what made her call. Of course, a mailing had just landed, and it was timed to be there when the local newspaper was delivered. That newspaper had our front page ad; back inside cover full page ad; and a ¾ page press release about a team member who was #1 in the firm for the month of March.
We also have a new sign up on the same street, with a “Coming Soon” rider on the sign. When I market, I focus on offline marketing. Yes, “old school” marketing is my main focus. One source complements the other.
The theme of the Free Market Analysis postcard for each month is also used for the title of the full page newspaper ad. I time them to land a day or two apart.
Of course, I post everything online, too. Facebook Business Page and personal page; ActiveRain; and the team website will all have the marketing pieces.
Be visible everywhere. Do NOT cut back on marketing when the market is not as busy as it has been in the past. Our market is a sellers’ market, and there continues to be a shortage of listings.
Those who have been “Absent With No Marketing,” due to little or no income, will have voids that reflect the length of time Absent from sight. That’s a significant penalty, and the only remedy is to get back on track, quickly and thoroughly.
Market as if you were introducing yourself to a new marketplace. Don’t miss a beat. You’ll make up for the lost time, and people will again remember you.
The benefit of sales is that “you’ll always have another chance to get it right.”
