2nd Home Purchase in Tennessee
Recently, our team was fortunate enough to get a call from one of our favorite clients - think kind, generous, and SO fast at getting any and everything needed for a transaction to move seamlessly. That's these folks. Over the years, we've worked together a few times - first as they moved from Hawaii to the mainland, and once again on a Florida investment property. This time around, real estate played a role in some life changes once again.
As a retired military pilot, our client got a job as a pilot with a company whose main hub is in Memphis, TN. With his family in FL, he was splitting a lot of time between FL and TN. It became more convenient for him and his family to just start looking for homes in TN.
After some months of navigating a hot purchase market, they found the right place to call "home away from home", and placed an offer on a property in Cordova, TN. Their offer was accepted, and we worked with them and their wonderful agent, Paige Holmes with Coldwell Banker, to navigate through what turned out to bea seamless transaction.
This was one of those real estate transactions that makes you say "I wish they were all like this". The borrowers were amazing as usual, their buyer's agent did a great job, and the title company was also wonderful to work with.
There were 2 keys, in my opinion, that made things move so smoothly -
1) The borrowers were prepared and took the steps necessary to know what they qualified for, and what they WANTED to qualify for, before looking at homes (many people make the mistake of looking at homes for a while only later to find the monthly payments/down payment/type of home don't all line up to their wants/needs)
and
2) Everyone in the transaction was positive, and came from a place of wanting to help move things along working together. Many times in real estate a buyer can let stress get the best of them, or a real estate agent or lender has "star syndrome" and wants to be in control of everything and everyone's job. Sometimes a title agent lacks communication skills. In this case, there was none of that. We were all on a team, all in constant communication from start to finish, and everyone let everyone else do their jobs. And all jobs were done well!
Our clients are now happy home owners in both Florida and Tennessee, and when traveling for work or making visits during long work stints, they now have another place to call "Home". Here's what they had to say:
