Time Was Not The Issue

Pondering About time

Time Was Not The Issue Recently I met with a longtime friend and neither of us could remember the most recent time or the occasion we met.  Sometimes it doesn't matter.  Or does it ever really matter?

Time may be a factor in determining worth in some situations.  It can be important when trying to establish a point of reference.  Not so much in others.

This thought came to mind.  It seems to fit just fine.  For me. In this instance.  At this time. Even when I prefer not to put an "antique" label on any person let alone a friend.  Well, okay maybe in jest.  You know just between friends.

Remember that the most valuable antiques are dear old friends

Michael I find that true friends you pick up where you left off the last time you saw each other....I have a friend from Ireland have not seen or communicated with him for 22 years, he came to visit us last year and we picked up where we left off the only thing was different was that we all got a bit older in 20+ years...

Morning Michael.

Other than family, I have only one true friend.  I've known him since the 6th grade.  We play 18 almost every Sunday, during the season

Isn't it amazing when this happens Michael? In this instance, time wasn't the issue. Things just seem to pick up where they left off...Nice!

Visiting with a friend is best when time is not a constraint.  The photo reminds me of a situation that I see when hiking, a rock sits atop a hill and appears to be about to fall.  I often wonder how amazing it would be to watch it fall and see how it lands.  Of course, as long as it isn't going to land on me, as the rock is enormous and would certainly crush me, haha.

Endre Barath, Jr. - it's difficult/impossible to stop that clock, isn't it?

James Dray - I sometimes think of my elementary school classmates but I'm not connected with any of them.  Good for you.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 - yes rather amazing.

Brian England - that rock was moved to the museum as part of an art installation.  In certain situations it as well as proper timing would be the issue.

Hi Michael- dear "old" -as in full of old shared memories and experiences are rare and like other rarities, they need to be treasured and protected. Love James Dray comment.

Good morning Michael.  I like that quote.  I will have to remember it, or share it.  You always have the most interesting blogs!  Time with friends is like that, and I treasure those times, whether they are new friends, or old.  Have a great day!

It’s always relative to how much effort we put into that time, metaphorically speaking and actually speaking all the same.

Brenda J. Andrew Sometimes the perfect quote can be like a flashlight in the dark or a sunrise in the morning that way! It’s so nice when it works out that way! :)

I have a circle of dear friends...life long friends...there are five of us. None of us actually remembers when we met, other than it was in school....elementary school. We don't remember the grade or how it came to be, but our friendship is the important thing.

Sharon Tara -  I don't have any close friends that go back to elementary school.  That's a lot of experiencesI.

As Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS said, old friends who I have not seen in many years always seem to pick right up where we left off.

I have numerous friends that I've had for 40+ years and I will say that FB has made it so much easier for us to keep up with one another! I don't know how they would react if I called them antiques though! LOL

Debe Maxwell, CRS - For all the bad "press" Facebook often attracts, it does have a way of keeping us informed/up-to-date with old acquaintances who sometimes grow closer over the years.
