San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas 2019

It’s time once again for the San Diego Botanic Garden Chocolate Festival in Encinitas.

The 2019 festival is this coming Saturday May 11, 2019, the day before Mother‘s Day (notice that little hint?!) from 10 – 4:00. If you are a true chocoholic like me you may be thinking “cool, I can have chocolate for breakfast!!”

Anyone with a fondness for chocolate living in the area will have a tough time resisting this event – I know I would be there is I wasn’t already committed for the day. We attended with friends several years ago, and it was wonderful, and everything I could have hoped for taste-wise!

Truffles at the San Diego Botanic Garden Chocolate Festival

You will be able to enjoy delicious tastings from numerous chocolate vendors (to name a few…Pacari Chocolate, Gourmet M Chocolatesr, So Rich Chocolates, Yummy Cupcakes, David Bacco Chocolatier) of course, along with several Food Trucks and gift vendors – keep Mother’s Day in mind!

Tasting tickets are sold at the event at $1 per tasting ticket, with tastings typically requiring 1 – 3 tickets. Anf you WILL want to taste!!

Need something fun and tasty to do this weekend? Find your way to chocolate heaven at the San Diego Botanic Garden Chocolate Festival in Encinitas on Saturday May 11!! I suspect you won’t regret it…unless you overindulge (can you even DO that with chocolate??!).

Admission is free for SDBG Members (also children 2 & under); $18 for Adults; Seniors & active military are $12; youth ages 3-18 at $10.
