Internet Scams - Are you upset yet?

One of the many reasons why you should utilized the services of an experience REALTOR®. FBI released their annual report on internet crimes.

In 2018 there was a 17% increase from 2017 on internet scams. The culprit(s) advertise a home(s) for sale or rent at a much lower price below market rates.

They obtain property information on line and changed the contact information so the victim(s) would contact them.

What is so upsetting is the people over the age of 50 unfortunately where the majority of the victims. People like your mother, father, uncle, aunt, older brothers and sisters or friends. Are you upset yet?

Among other scams involved romance situation, electronic purchases, extortion...

In real estate-related scam there is a total loss of $ 150 Million in 2018, 11,300 victims up from 9,645 in 2017.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't a good thing!
