Not So Wordless Wednesday: Native Summer Flower In Santa Barbara!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Pictured above are Matillija poppies which are native to Southern California and Baja Mexico.  They are a perennial bush and go grow as high as 8 tall and it likes to spread.

Their flowers are as large and the petals look like crepe paper.  They are as big, and ocasionally bigger than a hibiscus flower.  Given all the rain we have had, I would not be surprised to see them on the hills and canyons this summer.

Wishing you a great Wednesday!

We are having a great spring here as far as rain goes - wish it would be a little warmer though but the flowers are happy!

I love them. Poppies are such wonderful and colorful flowers - I really like this large version and the white blossoms too.

They are beautiful flowers, Alexandra.  At first glance, I thought they were hibiscus.
