The Grandview Estates neighborhood, in my opinion, is one of Palos Verdes best kept secrets. Let me tell you why. Located off Montemalaga Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes, this charming neighborhood only has one way in and one way out allowing for minimal traffic and lots of safety. Grandview Estates was one of the first and best built neighborhoods in Palos Verdes in the early 1950's. Grandview Estates was named after the amazing grand-views seen from the homes and neighborhood. The views consist of Santa Bay queen's necklace view to Downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel mountains which are often snow capped.
The neighborhood is adjacent to Grandview Park which consists of 17 acres of parkland. This park is wonderful for walking and admiring the views. The park is also wonderful for hiking down to the golf course and Malaga Cove Plaza in Palos Verdes Estates. Every year roughly 300 goats come to eat the vegetation as a wildfire safety measure. Here is a picture I recently took of their visit. The kids get such a kick out of it and anticipate their arrival for months.
Grandview Estates consists of approximately 136 homes and wonderful neighbors. Each year there is a fun summertime block party where all the neighbors gather. Fabulously located just minutes to the center of town and within walking distance to Pacific Sage Preschool, Silver Spur Elementary and Peninsula High. Grandview Estates is an amazing place to call home. My family has made many lifelong friends and wonderful memories living here. We just love it. If you are interested in learning about the homes currently listed for sale in the neighborhood, please give me a call.
