This is a recipe from my cousin that she just email me from a recipe in the Ladies Auxilary Lynnport Community Fire Company cookbook of my Monther recipe from 1949. I can not wait to try it.
1/2 cup margarine or butter 3/4 cup cocoa
2 cup granulated suger 1 cup milk.
2 cup sifted flour 1 cup strong coffee
1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs, unbeaten
Cream butter or margarine; add dry ingredients. Add milk, and hot coffee slowly and beat in mixer for two minutes. Add eggs and beat for 1 more minute. Pour into three 8 inch pans or two 9 inch pans. Bake at 325 degree for 20 to 35 minutes.
Frost with chocolate frosting.
