SOLD - Gorgeous Home with a View
Dear repeat clients of mine made the decision to take their empty nest to the beach! I connected them with an agent there and after visiting last year and meeting that agent, they insisted that I represent them. I explained the challenge of getting into houses and not knowing whether or not a freeway would be coming through their neighborhood would not work for me to represent them. During another visit to the area to visit friends of theirs, they attended a few open houses and found their dream house on the beach!
Following that visit, I received a call from them again - "We found our house and need you to write it up for us!" Again, I tried to get them to use the agent that I had referred to them but, they refused. "We found the house, now just help us to the finish line! We don't trust anyone but, you to get us there." They signed a 'hold harmless' agreement and I offered a referral fee to the agent there to recommend inspectors, surveyors, etc. She very kindly shared her vendor list and refused any referral fee.
Friends who live there connected me with city planning and any other local information I needed. The listing agent was wonderful to work with and we Closed a virtually flawless transaction without one single hitch last week!
Congratulations to these special clients! I do hope that eventually, they'll bring their empty nest back to Charlotte but, after seeing their new place, I can't imagine that they'll do anything other than visit - it's GORGEOUS!
