It's National Rescue Dog Day Today! But Any Day Is A Good Day To Rescue A Dog!

By

May 20th Is National Rescue Dog Day

All of our dogs have been rescue dogs from our local shelter. There is nothing quite like a rescue pet. Provide a loving fur-ever home to a rescue dog and you will feel the gratitude forever!

Over 3 million dogs are placed in shelters every year. Unfortunately, many (millions) are euthanized because a home can't be found for them. If you've been thinking about acquiring a dog, please consider adopting one from your local shelter. If you can't adopt, perhaps you could consider fostering or making a monetary donation to your local shelter.

And even though today, May 20th, is the official National Rescue Dog Day... every day is a good day to adopt a shelter dog in my book.

Those fur babies would do well in a nice home. It's always good to see how people are working for them to have better lives, too.

Endre Barath, Jr. good morning, Endre... I know that dog and cat adoption cause is as close to your and Diane's hearts as it is to mine. I'll use any excuse to promote the cause. (Wish I could take them all home with me!)

Hi Nina,
Now that I'm retired I wish my lifestyle was more conducive to having a pet. I just come and go too much to be fair to a pet.  I think if I did get a pet, it would be a cat.

Carol Williams hi Carol... no doubt that a dog takes up more time than a cat in terms of care. That's one reason right now we just have a cat. But I'd love to have a dog again soon.
