Wordless Wednesdays: Did you know that Termites have three life stages? Loved the sign and the message...

www.endrebarath.com

I found this sign driving on the road in Los Angeles. The area near LAX as in Los Angeles International Airport is  filled with many Marketing Signs like this. Anywhere else in the country this would be dangerous and distracting. Here in Los Angeles as we sit in traffic this is less distracting than the other drivers that are texting or  emailing.... any just my thought.

I’m not sure I ever thought of termites in that sense but there is a new day for everything these days. :)

Morning Endre.

The big thing around here now are the electronic billboards.  They change about every 30 seconds.  The company can't build them fast enough to keep up with demand

I love that message, Endre, despite the fact that it's distracting. An important message here in the South, where we often say it's not IF your home will get termites, but WHEN your home will get termites!

Billboards are not allowed in our area.

The typical termite life cycle begins with an egg, but is unique from an ant or bee in that termites go through incomplete metamorphosis, with egg, nymph, and adultstages. ... Depending on the species of termite, eggs have four molting stages, while nymphs endure three stages.

Hello Endre - more learning through the encyclopedia of billboard reading - it makes sense in Los Angeles as we drive.

Good morning Endre Barath, Jr., as if drivers are not distracted enough but as you said this sign is probably less distracting than texting, putting make-up on or whatever else drivers do other than concentrating on the road.

Good morning Endre - I know that you get lots of time to read those signs in LA.  You can still see what is going on around you as opposed to texting.

Hmm, I did not know that about termites, then again, I don't know a whole lot about termites, but I know how to spot a termite trail.

Good morning Endre. What a sign and a truth too. In Africa on safari you see hills of termites that are sometimes 5 feet high and wide.

Endre,

Oh, the things one learns in traffic in LA.  Love the sign!  On the train heading to Firenze.

Hi Endre:

That's pretty funny! Termites are certainly prevalent in our area. I rememebr seeing huge hills of them in Brazil. Sounds like what Sheila saw in Africa!

Now, that is funny, Endre! Living in the land of subterranean termites, we know, all too well, the havoc they can create!

Bond it, or you will be rebuilding it! Basically, have a termite bond on your house or you will have termites at some point in the near future!

I like that sign too, Endre!  There's only one insect that I despise more, and that mosquitoes, which have killed more folks than all the wars combined.
