A 110,000 square foot facility, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art is located in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. One of the region’s leading art institutions, OKCMOA not only has its own diverse collection but also regularly presents exhibitions organized from prestigious museums and collections from around the world.

Information on future displays can be obtained by visiting the museum’s upcoming exhibitions page.

Opened in 2002, the museum’s own collection features highlights from North America, Europe and Asia. Especially known for its American art and postwar abstracts, its permanent collection also boasts one of the world’s largest public collections of Dale Chihuly glass. In addition, OKCMOA has a major collection of photography by Brett Weston, as well as what is widely considered the definitive collection of work by the Washington Color painter Paul Reed.

Cinema enthusiasts enjoy the finest international, classic, documentary and independent films in the museum’s renowned 250-seat Samuel Roberts Nobel Theatre. The theatre’s stated mission is to enrich lives through the visual arts. A list of its upcoming films can be found here.

A unique shopping venue, the Museum Store offers one-of-a-kind gifts, handmade items, local products, art books, cards and more. The stock changes frequently and always includes items that reflect OKCMOA’s current special exhibitions. Those who want to stay up-to-date on the store’s new products and special should subscribe to the store’s newsletter.

Such special events as wedding ceremonies and receptions, private dinners, rehearsal dinners, networking events, corporate receptions, and more can all be held on the OKCMOA Roof Terrace, which offers stunning views of downtown Oklahoma City.

A full-service restaurant that is often a destination in its own right, the Museum Café offers French-inflected, Modern American Cuisine. It provides lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, a full bar and on-site catering services. The café’s hours are Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Accredited by the American Association of Museums, OKCMOA is a member of the Association of Art Museum Directors. It hosts over 125,000 visitors each year, who come from all 50 states and 30 foreign countries.

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, the galleries are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. On the third Thursday of each month they are open until 9:00 p.m.
