I had the opportunity to have a class of home inspectors inspect one of my properties. I figured what the heck, I appreciated when people helped me when I was learning things, and we really want good home inspectors out there. So any time helping them is a win win.
And, if I am really being honest, I really like bossing people around, so I was hoping maybe they would turn the class to me and I could take control. Ok, so that didn’t happen, but what did happen I got a chance to learn right along with the inspectors. How cool is that?!?
Things I have learned for 12 years I heard reinforced. Things I have complained about for many years, I hear also reinforced by the instructors.
And, I got a chance to voice my pet peeves, my deal breakers and my favorite things ever.
So, at the end of the day, I didn’t get to boss the soon-to-be inspectors around, but I still have kids at home that have no escape from bossy mom, but I gained a great new perspective and some knowledge.
