Who/What IS the HIGHEST & BEST Source ?

Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

.Everyone who has been in real estate for 5 minutes...has had the experience...the Parents, the Co-Worker, Neighbor, etc., etc., knows more about real estate than you ever will...despite your decades in this business....they are "experienced and knowledgable."

There are others too...the media...that is a story in itself...the objectivitymedia of journalism has sometimes been "slip sliding away."  Regardless of the network...broadcast, digital or print...there are questions as to what is most well researched....most objective..."highest and best" source.

We all tend to believe the source(s) that match our own  beliefs...where they are political, religious, ethical or legal...the very BIG reality we believe is that "The Truth is What You Believe it To Be." That can be so truthunwaivering that additional information from credible sources...perhaps newer...more well researched..."unbiased" or without other motivation is discarded in favor the long held belief.

Time was if a credible newscaster broadcast some information...no one would question it as being anything but objective. ChronkiteWho ever would have said that Walter Chronkite was anything but right ? Loyalty is a wonderful thing...However...you can be sooo loyal to a source or belief you lose the ability to take in new information and be objective about your "old reliable source."  You can see it daily ...closed minds.

Googling makes it true...I read it ...I heard it...I saw it...someone told me ...I always knew...the brand ...the company...the source is the highest and best...OR maybe not.

An open mind is a wonderful thing...Spring into this new season of sunshine with the resolve of an open mind perspective,,,you may be pleasantly surprised at the rewards you experience as a result.

This has been a philosophical post brought to you by Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Broker Associates with EXP Realty honored to be of service for all things  real estate in southeastern Wisconsin.

Good morning Sally. The news these days seems to be "The Morning or Evening Opinion" given by the reporter on whatever station. Sifting for the facts can get complicated if not impossible. Enjoy your day!

Good morning Sally K. & David L. Hanson ,

You are so right..in this day and age we need to keep an open mind. The only constant in our world is change and we have to be receptive to change, analyze how it works for us and adopt it if it is a positive for us

It is always difficult to refute that information as well, even when it is blatant fact, haha.  They hear what they want to hear from someone, so they don't want to believe the facts that we are sharing with them, haha.

Hello Sally and David - is it trust but verify or does something else become a part of the "source equation".

So much false information is presented as fact these days, it's hard to believe any source. And it's not just about politics.

My husband has had an attack of gout, so I've been reading all I can find about the right and wrong foods to put on the table. The only things I now know for sure (I hope) are that it's good to drink cherry juice and gout suffers should avoid sardines, spinach, and organ meats.

Otherwise -

"Drink 4-5 cups of coffee per day" - "Stay away from caffine"
"Eat tomatoes before every meal." - "Avoid tomatoes."
"Crab and lobster are good meat choices." - "Avoid all seafood."

And the list goes on...

Sally and David some news sources are SO bias that they have less credibility than the "Inquirer".  Yet they call themselves reporters.

Morning Sally.

You can watch most of the (big news channels) they are all on the same page.  it's like they all are given a script to read.  I watch the local news for the weather report only, otherwise I verify what they report.

Sally and David, so very true. There is far more fiction than fact running around these days. For some reason, everyone (even if they've never bought or sold a home) thinks they're an expert in real estate. Without an open mind, it's very hard to change their beliefs even if they're based on fiction.

Hi Sally and David;

Excellent points here! There is so much information online these days that many think that they can become the experts by reading about it on the Internet. And there are lots of contradictions, errors and disrepancies. Real estate professional who know their business are the ones to help make sense of it all and interpret what is means for consumers.
