Questioning The Status Quo

Pondering The Status Quo

Questioning The Status Quo.

I have been wandering around ActiveRain.  Reading posts.  Commenting.  But also reading just for the sake of information.  Maybe just glancing at a post.  Maybe not giving it full attention.  Not commenting.  Learning. From some new-to-me bloggers.  Some familiar ones to me too.   Taking it in.  When time permits.

Times like these often demand err encourage pondering.  As if there needs to be reason.  We may wonder about a lot of "stuff".  Our world.  Our immediate surroundings.  Our place in life.  Now.  Ourselves.  Understandably. The recent or distant past. The now.  And the future.  Oh, yes, the future.  Yes, what about the future?

Much pondering ensues.  As usual.  And not so usual too.  Something may jolt us.  Move us forward.  The Earth moves.  There are times when pondering is needed.  And then are those where action or another plan is the better choice. There is no right or wrong answer.  Just the ideal answer for you.  Right now.  At this moment.  Choose wisely. Go forth.  Prosper.

Hi Michael... ahh the status quo.. Is it ever shifting? Ever changing? Or is it just relatively shifting or relatively changing?

Methinks nothing.. methinks something.

Anyway, let's continue pondering.

Maria Gilda Racelis - and that's the way it goes....your comment proves pondering continues the questioning process.  As it should.  Of course.

Hi Michael- my status quo is different from everyone else's and vice versa. So, I am often happy with my status quo and on occasion, I don't mind stepping out of it.

Kathy Streib - Don't ask what your status quo can do for you but what can you do for your status quo? Or something like that.

For several years I worked at a software company research and development center.  While our motto wasn't to move fast and break things, we had to question the status quo in order to bring progress and innovation!

I love this, thank you so much.  Every so often I do the same "wandering".  Need some inspiration, something to think about outside my own parameters - need to learn, observe, laugh....ACTIVE RAIN is a fantastic source for that.  So was your blog posting.

So, it depends, doesn't it, on what you're pondering about and if it's a real circumstance, opines, just a dream or fake news? Regardless, the AR community provides knowledge, experiences, recommendations, inspiration and motivational content and maybe a lot of pondering surfing the Rain.

Myrl Jeffcoat - "disruption" can and does occur in all sorts of environments.

Cara Marcelle Mancuso - seeing, learning, understanding and more can be found while we experience ActiveRain and life.

Kimo Jarrett - very true.  Thank you for the thoughtful comment.

Michael Jacobs - Ah ha! Question the status quo or expand one's mind to think about a new strategy, solution, plan, diversion, conversion, the point is are you thinking clearly about you or what others are saying, implying, or suggesting is true? It's only true if it works for you and if you don't try to be better than the status quo, are you any better off?

Definitely, pondering is not a waste of time.

Recently, a very successful young entrepeneur purchased an RV park with tons of possibilities. He tells me many of his friends are questioning his recent acquisition. I asked if it hurt his feelings.  His very wise response,  "Are you kidding? Never, they just see an RV park. I'm grateful they don't have the vision."

Michael, I am not much of being status quo, would much rather rustle the bushes and do more!   I have not had much time to read many posts.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - I also don't consider pondering a waste of my time.  It helps with solving issues.  Recharging brain cells. And more. Lots more.

Sharon Tara - I consider this an excellent idea!

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - vision definitely makes a difference.

Joan Cox - I hope that means good times of the best varieties! I am always happy when you stop.

I really don't know what status-quo is in a business like ours, Michael! The only 'status quos' I have in my life is I'm still married to the same man and my assistants have all been with me for years - and I don't ever want that to change!

As far as this biz goes, I don't know how status quo would work in it! LOL

Debe Maxwell, CRS - a good point.  When the status quo is a "moving target" of sorts so it's constantly changing/evolving in some way.
