A "Love Note" from the city...

By

There's not much more annoying than returning to your car, than finding a "love note" from the city affixed to your windshield.  You know the one... "We'd LOVE to have some money from you!".

But it does become just a touch more annoying when you've already put a bunch of quarters into the meter, prior to that ticket, and then missing the cut-off by a few minutes, only to find that ticket.

It seems to me that the city should take into account your initial investment in legal parking and deduct it from the amount of the ticket.  Right?  Right?!

Amirite?

Hi Alan- I feel your pain!  We were glad to see the meters that link to a phone app before we left Delray Beach. At least you could add money via your app before the time ran out!!

yeah... that's what I was using... my meter ran out a few minutes before I went to leave.  And in those few minutes, a meter-officer (wasn't lovely Rita) left me that kind note.

Clear, logical thinking. Makes sense (Cents) to me!

Good morning Alan. I feel your pain. I think that it is better when you don't spend the coin.

Call a Marana neighbor, I'm THERE!

In Tucson I see they have an app that connects to your phone so you can keep adding quarters!  I can't remember my last parking ticket - probably 30 years ago - but I feel your pain!
