Think Thin Thursday ~ Always be Cautious or You Just Might Get What You Wish For

Fitness is a booming industry! Billions of dollars spent each year in America alone and what's even more surprising is that adults 18 to 65 spend on average about $155 per month on their fitness. It appears that no one in this Country is taking the adage of aging gracefully to heart.

Gym Rats can attest to the fact that any semblance of new equipment that enters those doors is going to garner a lot of scrutiny. It is the home equipment market that tugs on the novices strings or more appropriately their wallets and pocketbooks. Where dollars roam so shall the ideas! One thing that hasn't changed is the difficulty to get people to begin the path to better health although by chance I think the solution has been found. Literally, a Better Mousetrap awaits.


Who needs a coach when they can become an app on your phone? GPS can tell whether or not you are doing a full repetition and counting your reps has become a thing of the past without a second thought. Go ahead make that call but if you interrupt the set know ahead of time it's going to be dropped and so is that call. Mental dilemma not withstanding you are going to have an excellent workout whether you like it or not. 

Okay Fitness Fanatics and wannabes here's the tool you've been asking for. The ONE that's going to change your life forever. The ONE you will soon hate to pick up but strangely you cannot put it down. The first thing you'll  pick up subconsciously in the morning and the last you'll put down unconsciously each day, other than yourself. Ask and ye shall receive.

Hello Kevin - the allure of bright shiny objects is not lost that's for sure. For me it's about:  Moving more.  Eating less and eating well.    Rather than looking at success or failure, I prefer to think of it as work-in-progress.

So, I started swimming laps recently and I do 500 meters per day.  Do you think that will eventually get me thin again, along with healthy eating?
