You have my permission!!!

Last night, after writing a new entry, a very popular blogger from Active Rain (DC) told me I should write more.  That we, as a collective whole, need more inspiration.

I agree with him.

Now, please don’t misunderstand, I am not saying I am taking it upon myself to inspire anyone.  I am just confirming what he is trying to say...that as a whole we need more inspiration.

We need people in this industry who can help elevate the dialogue from the list of Top 5 this or that to something more essential - like, how we do our business, and how our business is perceived by those we represent.

Everyday we deal in hundreds of thousands of dollars of product, where we are relied upon to market, negotiate, and facilitate the transition of that product from one person to another.

We are specialized, talented, and too often masochistic - too willing to belittle ourselves because we do not know our own worth.

Well, you have my permission - STOP IT!!!

Stop taking yourself for granted, and start believing that you are as good as you know you are.

And if you are with a partner, broker, or company that doesn’t get this, then STOP accepting people in your business life who settle for less than they should.

Believe - know - and understand you are fabulous.

Believe - know - and understand your clients think your fabulous.

Now...do you feel better?  Inspired?  Good...get to work :)

thanks for your inspirational rants and raves. very funny if it were not so pointedly true.

I actaully wrote  about giving up the News for 30 days for similar reasons.

Congratulations on your published article Realtor mag, even if it hurts your 'street cred'
