Palms Springs, CA sure does know how to celebrate our Nations birthday. With several events planned this year, it is just a matter of deciding which one to attend.
Some of the events are ticketed, but they offer discounts if purchased ahead of time; while others are free to attend. To help you get started with your July 4th plans, here are some of the events for this year's celebration.

Food Samaritans (AAP) Midsummer Party
Come attend a dazzling Independence Day party and fundraiser hosted by Food Samaritans (AAP). Held at the historic O’Donnell House, above the Palm Springs Art Museum high on the mountainside, you will have an outstanding view of the City of Palm Springs’ firework display which starts at 9:15 pm. Enjoy a great barbecue with burgers, grilled chicken, and more plus there will be a DJ playing a range of upbeat songs before the firework show starts. The party starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $150 which include a synchronized soundtrack of patriotic music via The Eagle 106.9 FM. 4th of July Swimming Party
Want to stay cool on the 4th of July or spend the day with your family? Then head over to the Palm Springs Swim Center at 405 S. Pavilion Way, Sunrise Plaza Complex, for an afternoon of music and playing on inflatable water slides. Games will also be offered if swimming is not for you or you just need a break. Then when night falls, enjoy the firework show.

Fireworks Extravaganza at Palm Springs Power Baseball
Enjoy a free firework show at the Palm Springs Stadium. Gates open at 6:05 pm. You are encouraged to bring any snacks, blankets, low back chairs you think you might need during your brief stay. Celebrate the 4th with Some Culture
The Palm Springs Cultural Center will host an event this 4th of July that will include dinner, a show, and fireworks. Dinner will include a hamburger or hotdog with choice of sides. The show will be the season 3 premiere of Stranger Things (episodes 1 and 2), shown at 7 pm at Camelot Theatres. To view the firework display, everyone will step outside to the parking lot.
