It’s summer, and that means warm weather and LOTS of people getting ready to buy or sell a house. This means you’re probably pretty busy and you might be tempted to push marketing to the back burner.
Don’t do it!
You may feel like you don’t “need the leads” right now, but the truth is that consistent marketing leads to consistent business. If you keep up your visibility and continue to build your brand throughout the summer, it will make things easier in the slower months.
What can you do that won’t take too much time? Here are some ideas.
Keep the Postcards Going
Sending a postcard once a month is something you can set up in advance and not worry about it. This allows you to focus on other aspects of your business while your farm continues to hear about your brand.
Do you feel like it’s too much work to get everything ordered and mailed on time? Consider having PrinterBees take care of that part for you. When you order your postcards through us, we can also work with you to get them mailed on time, every time.
Getting postcards mailed regularly is a big step in keeping your marketing going strong.
Sponsor Live Events
Another way to get your name out in your community is to sponsor live events. There are dozens of fairs, festivals, races, and other events you can sponsor. The great news is that you may be able to make a brief appearance – or you might not have to attend in person at all.
Of course, if you can get there, it’s a great idea. Networking and talking to folks in person is an amazing way to build your business. But if you can’t, having your name or a donation to a silent auction is a great way to make your brand visible while you attend to other work.
If you need branded products to give away at an event, let us know – we’d love to help!
Work in Some Pop Bys
Pop bys might seem like the last thing you have time for, but could you work in even a few hours a month? You can simply ask if they received your last postcard or hand out goodie bags as you visit.
Being able to make face-to-face contact with your prospects is vital to building up your relationship and helping them trust you. That will help them reach out and work with you when they need a Realtor®!
You can have a lot of fun with it – play with different ideas for pop-by gifts and just try to get out in the neighborhood a few times during the summer.
Don’t Stop Marketing This Summer
When you’re busy up to your ears, you might think that the last thing you need is more business or leads.
However, remember that the year is long, and the summer is only part of it. By keeping your marketing moving all year, you can help smooth out the feast-or-famine cycle in your business.
