1. Enrique Iglesias
Enrique Iglesias, a.k.a. "The King of Latin Pop", is known around the globe as the talented singer, songwriter, and actor. He burst onto the scene in the mid-nineties and never looked back, selling over 170 million albums to date.
Enrique, whose father is legendary singer Julio Iglesias, moved to Miami as a young child and has lived in the area ever since.

2. Gloria Estefan

Miami is where Gloria has called home ever since the age of two. She currently resides on Star Island with husband Emilio Estefan, also from Miami Sound Machine. The couple owns two Miami restaurants: Estefan Kitchen and Larios on the Beach.
3. Sir Sidney Poitier
Iconic actor, Sidney Poitier, was born in Miami in 1927 while his family was visiting from Cat Island in the Bahamas. He later would return to Miami in his teens to discover his love of acting.
At 18, Sidney moved to New York City to pursue stage acting opportunities. After working odd jobs and sleeping in a bus station, he got a small part on Broadway, which earned him rave reviews.
Of course, Sidney went on to star in numerous stage, film and television roles. In 1964, he earned the Academy Award for Best Actor for Lilies in the Field. He is the first black actor, and the first Bahamian, to win an Academy Award for Best Actor.
4. Andy Garcia
Andy Garcia is a Cuban American actor, appearing in countless films since the late 1980s. He is perhaps best known for his Oscar-winning performance as Vincent Mancini in The Godfather III. He has also starred in The Untouchables, When a Man Loves a Woman, and Oceans 11 and it's sequels.
Born in Cuba, Andy moved to Miami with his family when he was five years old. He was on the basketball team at Miami Beach Senior High School before transitioning to acting during his senior year.
5. Alex Rodriguez
Also known as "A-Rod", Alex Rodriguez is a former Major League Baseball player for 22 years. He was a 14-time all-star at shortstop and third base for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. He is regarded as one of the best to ever play baseball.
A-Rod was born in New York City before briefly living in the Dominican Republic with his family. Ultimately, he moved to Miami when he was a young child. As an adult, Miami is his second home. He currently owns a home in Coral Gables, where you may spot him with his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.
