Market in a Minute Videos - Things to Consider
We've seen a number of videos with agents looking into a camera and talking, and talking, and talking. At least they're trying to utilize the power of video. However, and we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but watching anyone talk gets old quickly. Even the talking heads on the nightly news have visuals to back up their stories!
Informative videos, such as market reports, also need to have some of the elements of all good videos. They tell a story in an entertaining, or visually pleasing manner. This agent in Seattle does a pretty good job. Although, we'd both prefer to see a little less of him.
No offense Sean. Although, we doubt, he's going to worry too much about our thoughts, he has 8K views of his Market in a Minute for May.
When you have a couple of minutes, watch the video, and then watch it again. Is there a point where you can feel yourself getting antsy? For us, it first happens at the 4-5 second mark. Consider if he'd use the motion graphic of a calendar flipping through the months to June? We think it would have held our attention better.
Again, at around the :57 mark, he loses us again. We feel graphics or entertaining visuals reflecting his message would have really made this short video more interesting to watch.
Overall though, we have to hand it to him, it's far better than most we see. What do you think?
