The Postcard Challenge is Completed
For those just reading this, which is the culmination of a 3 month long effort on my part to help my grandson with a school project, trying to find a postcard that offers a quick glimpse of a region's local sites is not easy.
The project was to get friends and family to send a postcard properly postmarked from that state with 2 facts relevant to the state, For people that live in a high profile, often visited location such as shore areas of famous historical areas, it was not that difficult. Just find the time to scout a card, remember 2 facts about that state and mail it.
After my grandsonhad solicited friends and family the cards withered. That's when I stepped up and posted my plea on ActiveRain for some help. With so many years of blogging I thought I could abuse my contacts and friends to help the boy and his class.

Calling All Active-Rainers Need Some Help For A School Project
Where Can I Find A Post Card and What is It?
My grandson Raphael has brought all his accumulated postcards into school and pleased all his classmates as well as amazing his teacher.
The final tally was 90 postcards with representation of 38 states as well as the District of Columbia.
Raphael did a good job of reaching out to family and friends mostly around the East Coast. It was my ActiveRain family that brought the final tally so high. The state with the highest response was CA with a tally of 17 cards.
We are so happy with the response and if ever there was a doubt, it as demonstrated that ActiveRainers can be counted on for a helping hand.
