City of Compton requests that you get a business license to sell properties in Compton. Once you get a business license to sell a home, you must request to have an inspection done by an inspector to inspect the home and send a report within 24 hours.
You then, give your report to the buyers agent and be sure to send the report with what your seller is willing to include and not include for the sale of the home.
The buyers then need to sign the affidavit that they will buy home AS-IS and pay a $75.00 fee. Then, the City of Compton will then give you a final report to sell the home at escrow.
Be sure you do not miss a step.
Please remember the city only gives you the report and it is NOT a demand to complete before the sale of the property.
