Take a break. It will do your head well.

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Cornerstone Business Group Inc 0225086119

I've been traveling for the past two weeks, and it has been great. The first week was all meetings in Georgia, but week two has been a week at the beach with a four year old. Stressful? Not really. Entertaining, constantly. Watching her experience so many "firsts" has been priceless.

My office staff has done a great job taking care of business at home, but even with them, I've been able to get one house under contract and a second contract looks like it is coming. I could be here worrying about business, or I could be here letting my brain and body have a break.

Staring out at the ocean is my favorite place. This morning, I watched the dolphins feeding just off shore. My granddaughter has waited for that scene all week. She was not disappointed. When I'm here, my head clears and my thoughts create ideas for future business and future projects. I jot those thoughts down and I will revisit them when I return next week.

High type A personalities like me tend to think we can run full speed all the time, but the truth is, we can't. I would encourage you to take time, relax and enjoy the peacefulness of your favorite place. You'll be more productive when you return.

Good morning, Mike - taking breaks of all kinds and lengths are important on so many different levels.   Your granddaughter is learning by your example.

Good morning again Mike. I am right there with you. Frankly running and doing all the time is not a life. I like to slow it down and travel both.

Hi Mike:

Sounds like a wonderful, and very special, time away. Precious moments to be treasured for sure!

I find stepping away hard but my choice is definitely the beach...and it always has been. Whatever helps to relax and refresh is well worth it.

I agree. It's very difficult to actually unwind. Some of us can't do it. I always find when I come back from a vacation, even if it's only a partial one, that I have new thoughts, ideas and energy levels!

I find that I get business every time I go on vacation. That is when every one seems to want to write a contract!
