Interesting – a new entry in the real estate arena?

The following showed up in my email this morning, and I’m wondering if everyone else on Active Rain received it as well.

I'm just assuming that they decided I was a realtor because I'm here. Others do.

This proposal doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but perhaps I’m missing something.

Could just be my aversion to rent-to-own after seeing a few of those transactions turn into “rent-to-trash before I leave.”

Marte,

I pay no attention to this type of stuff.  There is always something tempting, so marketing morsel to catch those who would be attracted to a tool rather than their own ingenuity...A

Sounds like they want you to be a home manager to show and open rentals with the hope and prayer that they will become future buying clients. Sounds like you become a rental guide to looky loos.

I have done very few rentals and only for well established previous clients. It can be more difficult and frustrating dealing with renters than true real estate buyers. Low to no credit, little to no funds and very high expectations. A recipe for time wasting.

Just say no.

Hello Marte - I haven't noticed this email but I will say my delete function key is not "lonely".

Ron and Alexandra Seigel That one wouldn't even be tempting to me, but I suppose a new agent who hasn't yet figured out how and where to get clients might be tempted.

Clay R. Seay I handled a few rentals early in my real estate career. I didn't enjoy it much, so got out of it. Since then I've dealt with tenants for our own and my son's properties and didn't enjoy that much either. Fortunately, those properties have all been sold.

Michael Jacobs I noticed this one because it was a bit different from most. It made me wonder if they were collecting emails from Active Rain and doing a mass mailing.
