Every so often when we run out of fresh fruit or produce, I can count on the Thursday Farmers Market on Linden Avenue (our main street. 1 and 1'2 blocks long) in Carpinteria. A few of the vendors who come here are regulars at the Santa Barbara Farmer's Market. The others are small avocado ranchers and small farms which are part of our city.
These small plums were beautiful to look at and as delicious as they look.
How about these luscious strawberries that grow in a field nearby with an ocean view!
Even the signage is quaint and fun to read. I loved the description of the golden nugget mandarin.
Blue Ridge Honey comes from hives nearby. The darker honey is from the avocado blossoms is less sweet and is reminiscent of the taste of molasses.
The reason we went is that we needed more avocados, and why not buy them in the Avocado Capital.
Wishing you all an abundance of Saturday smiles and a great rest of the Weekend. A
