The LA Weekly called Bill's Burgers the "King of the California Burger Stands," in 2016 and I'll second that in 2019!!
Meet Bill Elwell (master griller) and, Hiroko Wilcox who is in charge of assembling burgers with clear intent and care. This belvoed local spot has been serving fresh burgers since the mid-1960s. Prepare yourself for tasty, fresh, and affordable burgers! My bill after ordering a double cheese burger, chips and soda,....$7.00. Pretty amazing! Now, do be aware, sometimes the wait for your burger could be between 15 -30 mins, depending on how long the line is. I will say this, its worth the wait.
If you can stay to enjoy your burger, please do! There is a nostalgic feel when sitting down to eat at the red counter that wraps around Bill's Burgers stand. All you need to focus on is enjoying your burger with the most basic of recommended sides; chips and a coke. Another reason for my enjoyment of this experience was due to the observing of Bill and Hiroko's method of cooking,...it was a bit hypnotic. They were so precise with each movement, not skipping a beat, making the perfect burger every time. I was one happy Feng Shui Consultant for sure ;) Thank you Bill and Hiroko's Burgers!
