 Chicagoland Floor Resurfacing

 Date: 06-02-19

 County: Cook

 City: Chicagoland, IL

 Job Details:

Floor resurfacing is the best way to restore the look to any floor. Some things are just what they are. Cleaners and cleaning agents just remove dirt and particles trapped on the surface of your floor. But if what you desire is a new sheen, high gloss or matte finish then you have to resurface or replace the flooring.

We specialize in restoring or applying a new finish to natural stone and concrete floors. Granite Heroes is a Chicago-land natural stone repair & restoration service specializing in all sorts of projects relating to stone and concrete. Family owned and operated we take pride in our work placing and emphasis on high quality results vs a standard clean or partial restoration. With over 15 years of experience we take industry tricks and techniques we have learned over the years to give you the finish you desire.

What are the Finish or Resurfacing options are available?

Natural Stone: Honed, Natural Polish, High Gloss Floor Polish
Granite, marble, travertine, limestone, are all natural stone floor options popular in the Chicagoland Area. A honed finish is like a sanded look, matte with no gloss. A natural polish is a finish sanded as high as 10,000 grit. The fine sanding process creates a natural reflection or shine, allowing the stone to shine or reflect without waxes or crystallization agents. A high gloss finish adds waxes and burnishing compounds to the natural polish to create a super hard polish. This process creates a high gloss "Las Vegas" quality polish.

Terrazzo & Concrete: High Gloss, Stained or Color Enhanced
Terrazzo and concrete are best finished with a  finish. This reason is because its a man made material and will break down. Concrete will crack without proper protection and finishing techniques. Terrazzo is able to be color enhanced to a deep rich color. Concrete has the  ability to be stained to any custom color and then polished to a high gloss finish.

We tried the epoxy first on our garage floor & it ended up being a waste of time and money. Resurfacing got us the results we were looking for.
