To Text or Not to Text, That is the question - 843 REALTOR

By
Real Estate Agent with 843, REALTOR

843 REALTOR is a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Company serving Horry County SC. 843 REALTOR has been around for almost 15 years using a Toll Free phone number that does not allow texting. Obviously, we do not offer texting for the general public and other agents to contact our office. Our preferred method of contact is the phone, e-mail or fax.

More and more Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agents are texting information about listings, showings and contract negotiation.

My thought process is I could spend all day answering random questions from people that are not even my clients. Texting creates a higher possibility for getting involved in a scams or misunderstanding. I prefer any contract negotiation to be in an e-mail that I can always print and place in the file. I understand you can take a snapshot of the phone screen to record the text but to me that is another place to have data.  I also want to make sure when I am out with a client my cell phone is not constantly receiving text messages and distracting me from my clients right in front of me. Most people sending text messages seem to demand immediate responses.

My question to you is do you consider texting a professional way to conduct business?

What are the advantages of Texting in real estate?
