Fishing in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Attention anglers - cast your line and try to catch (and perhaps release) fish in a local public lake or pond. With a State of Maryland non-tidal fishing license, required for those over the age of 16, you're welcome to fish at the two ponds at Bohrer Park and at Lakes Inspiration and Nirvana in the Kentlands area (note that fishing is not allowed at Lake Placid in front of the Montgomery County Services building along Rt. 28). You can also fish from shore or by boat at nearby Seneca Creek State Park. There you'll find largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, tiger muskie and crappie. Fish on!

This is a City of Gaithersburg announcement.

Beautiful photos, Roy Kelley

Where is the photo of the fish? Fish photos would seem appropriate with this post.

Hmm, tempting.. Fishing takes a lot of patience and some experience needed. Might take some friends for a get together and do some fishing.

It looks like a great place to fish!  I am not a fisherman, but I do enjoy being out with others that fish and enjoying the views!

One of these days Roy,  I need to take the fishing rods and get out and catch some fresh trout for dinner!
